Magic Cake For Christmas

This cake is somewhat similar to the Italian Christmas pie, but with a different composition of ingredients and, unlike the Italian Christmas pie, you absolutely do not need an oven! This cake is perfect for Christmas, it can be packed in beautiful boxes and given to loved ones, friends and acquaintances. The cake is stored in the refrigerator for about a week. And only so that it ripens well.


It is impossible to convey the taste of this Christmas cake in words, so I suggest you cook this sweet treat yourself at least once, after which, I am sure, you will want to experience this taste again and again. The only thing I want to warn you about is to choose spices based on your preferences, only in this case the cake will be truly magical.

INGREDIENTS


1. Flour - 30 g

2. Honey - 100 g

3. Sugar - 50 g

4. Cocoa - 20 g

5. Cinnamon - 1 tsp

6. Spices - to taste

7. Nuts - 125 g

8. Dried fruits - 100 g

9. Lemon - 1 pc

10. Sugar powder - to taste

11. Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.




Step By Step Cooking Process



STEP 1


First, the nuts need to be dried (you can do this in a microwave oven, oven, or on the stove, in a dry frying pan). If you are using whole nuts, you can first rub them between your palms to remove the skin, leave the kernels whole and cut them into small pieces (for example, into three parts across).


STEP 2


Wash your favorite dried fruits (scald with boiling water) and dry, then cut into small pieces (if you use raisins, then it is not necessary to cut them).


STEP 3


Remove the zest from the lemon (using a special or regular grater)


STEP 4


Place nuts, dried fruit and lemon zest in any large dish.


STEP 5


Combine flour with cocoa, favorite spices and cinnamon. Sift (optional) and add to dried fruits and nuts. Mix all the contents thoroughly.


STEP 6


Place honey and sugar in a small saucepan and, stirring constantly, wait until the sugar dissolves completely. There is no need and should not boil the mixture!


STEP 7


Pour the honey-sugar syrup into a dish with dried fruits, nuts and flour, stir. You need to stir quite actively so that the mass does not have time to harden too much.


STEP 8


Heat the frying pan and grease it with vegetable oil. Put the nut mass, smooth it out and compact it well (you can do this with wet hands or a spoon). Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes on the lowest heat, then turn it over with a plate and bake for another 10 minutes.


STEP 9


After baking, use a plate to remove the pie from the pan and cool slightly.


STEP 10


Then generously coat the Christmas cake on all sides with powdered sugar (as if lightly massaging it).


STEP 11


The taste and aroma of the Christmas cake are extraordinary, I would even say delicious, truly festive! And if you are able to show prudence and restraint, then throughout the holidays you can have pieces of this dessert in your refrigerator, wrapped in parchment.
